Hayley had ordered a gorgeous wedding gown but really wanted a jacket too, unfortunately this wasn't an option with this designer and so I was asked to create one.
The bridal shop was able to order tulle and lace to match the dress, direct from the manufacturer, and I got to work.
Hayley knew exaclty what she wanted, high neck, deep v back and all edged in lace. Unfortunately one issue we had is that the lace is not symmetrical, this meant I had to choose the placement very carefully in order to make it look "balanced" on Hayley's slight frame.
Lace was hand sewn to the tulle, as it was far too delicate to risk machine sewing and the back closed with buttons and loops to match the dress closure. Of course I also altered the dress to fit, and created a bustle so the partying could go on late into the night.
